Spring/Summer 2018 Exhibitions

May 21st - June 22nd, 2018
Reception: Thursday, June 7th 3 - 5pm

This exhibition will feature works from current SVSU Department of Art students, majors and minors. A variety of mediums will be showcased including but not limited to photography, painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, graphic design and more. For this show, a total of forty-three students submitted a hundred pieces of art work.

‌July 2nd - August 10th, 2018

This exhibition is a collection of works by Saginaw artist Julia Roecker (1887-1988).  Formerly a Professor of Art at Alma College and Director of the Saginaw Art Museum, Ms. Roecker devoted much of her creative energy to drawing and printmaking, experimenting with many styles from traditional scene painting to near abstraction. This exhibit includes traditional work in the area of linocut and woodblock prints as well as experimental works involving silkscreen and monoprinting.
