Information for Faculty

The Academic Commons is a one-stop location on the 2nd floor of Zahnow Library with free resources to help students enhance their academic success. All three tutoring centers -The Center for Academic Achievement, Math and Physics Learning Center, and the Writing Center are interested in collaborating with faculty. Current ways that we collaborate include hosting:

  • Faculty Professional Tutors
  • Faculty Office Hours
  • Embedded Tutoring
  • Exam Review Sessions
  • Academic Content Workshops
  • Soft Skills Workshops
  • Podcasting

All tutoring centers are staffed by accomplished, trained peer and professional tutors. We are always seeking faculty recommendations for tutors. We are also interested in innovative ideas or partnerships that faculty may want to pursue.

Faculty interested in sharing information about the Academic Commons Tutoring Centers with students can use the blurbs below in their syllabi.
