Diane Boehm Writing Award for e-Portfolios

Outstanding undergraduate and graduate student ePortfolios will be recognized with a cash prize in each of two categories:

  • Classroom ePortfolio (created as a class assignment)
  • Work application ePortfolio (created to demonstrate education and experience to a potential employer)

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

  1. Presents student’s capabilities in an engaging, professional, and comprehensive manner
  2. Includes artifacts and documents that demonstrate deep leaning appropriate to the student’s class or chosen field
  3. Includes perceptive self-reflection
  4. Demonstrates creative use of multimedia
  5. Is easy to navigate and aesthetically effective based on the capabilities of the software or program

ePortfolios created since Winter semester 2023 may be submitted for this award. 

Students can self-nominate (no faculty recommendation is required).

To submit to this award, you will need to provide:

  • The URL to your ePortfolio,
  • The title of the ePortfolio (labeled "Proposal Title")
  • A letter to the review committee that includes:
    • the title and URL to your ePortfolio for the judges' reference
    • indicates the type of ePortfolio (i.e., a classroom portfolio or a work application portfolio)
    • explains the intended audience and purpose for your ePortfolio
    • explains why you believe it is worth recognition by the review committee.
