The Ruth and Ted Braun Awards for Writing Excellence at Saginaw Valley State University have been established to create incentives for outstanding student writing and opportunities for student writers to be recognized and published.
Diane Boehm Writing Awards for e-Portfolios are presented annually to outstanding e-portfolios in two categories - a class assignment and a work portfolio - to recognize the creative and effective integration of writing and multimedia.
The intent of the Tyner Prizes and the Tyner-Roethke Award in Student Poetry is to encourage and recognize excellence in classroom writing at SVSU. Three prizes of $100 each and a plaque may be awarded in three categories: fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.
