SVSU is undergoing a significant transformation with the implementation of Workday, a modern, cloud-based system replacing integrated systems such as Colleague. This comprehensive platform seamlessly integrates financial, human resources, payroll and student information systems, streamlining operations and simplifying data management, ultimately enhancing user experience. Moreover, the upcoming integration of Workday will further enhance efficiency by replacing Self-Service.This transition aims to:
- Automate processes, granting real-time visibility and access to data for faculty, staff, and students.
- Improve end-user experiences through self-service capabilities, enabling better management of responsibilities.
- Facilitate strategic planning by adapting to evolving enrollment numbers, class availability, tuition, grants, staffing, and other variables.
Workday PLATFORM is Live for HR, Finance and Payroll
The first phase of our Workday transition — Workday PLATFORM for Human Resources, Finance and Payroll — has successfully launched in 2025, streamlining core administrative processes across the university.
NEW! Next Phase of Workday Rollout — Workday STUDENT Implementation
SVSU is building on the recent launch of Workday PLATFORM for HR, Finance, and Payroll by expanding into Workday STUDENT—replacing Colleague to create a more connected, student-centered experience. Once complete, Workday will manage admissions, financial aid, registration, advising, billing, payments, and academic records. Visit the Workday Home Page for more information.
Accessing Workday Platform
Faculty, staff, adjunct faculty and student employees can log in to Workday Platform to access its features and resources.
