SVSU's top-ranked housing is in high demand, with more new and returning SVSU students seeking to live on campus. To meet this rising demand, expansion of University Village will soon begin taking shape. The construction project, which is expected to complete by fall 2026, will add four new buildings, each with six townhouse-style units, resulting in space for 96 additional Cardinals.

Brown Hall Nearing Completion

After more than a year of work, the Brown Hall renovation project is nearing completion, with a grand re-opening celebration scheduled for Thursday, August 14. We are eager to welcome students, faculty and staff into this expanded and improved facility.

Protect our Cardinal: Take Care of the Logo
|
In support of SVSU's strategic priority to elevate the university's market position, we want to remind all Cardinals why it is important to use the SVSU name, colors and Cardinal logo consistently and correctly. Our shared identity is strengthened through consistent use and expression of our approved logos and visual marks.
We understand that universities are places of creativity. At the same time, when it comes to how SVSU is visually represented, it is important to not contribute to market confusion with our audiences and to protect our trademark rights. AI and other tools make it easy to create alternate versions of our Cardinal logos, but using such designs runs counter to the university’s interests and industry best practice. Creating alternate Cardinals or modifying our official logo can jeopardize our federal trademark protection. Even well-intentioned designs can dilute our brand or risk legal complications, especially when used for goods, services or promotional materials.

Thanks to their performance on the diamond, SVSU catcher Connor Cornwell and first-baseman Ryan Jarvis were named to the American Baseball Coaches Association Midwest Region All-Defensive Team.
