Internationally acclaimed pianist Kathryn Brown, Head of the Keyboard Division at the Cleveland Institute of Music, will feature the Rhea Miller Concert Series at Saginaw Valley State University on Friday, Nov. 21. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Rhea Miller Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

Brown has appeared on the world’s leading stages, including Carnegie Hall, London’s Rudolfinum, and NPR’s Performance Today. From Mozart to Gershwin to contemporary premieres, Brown has been recognized for her artistry across a wide repertoire.

Brown’s recital at SVSU will launch a two-day celebration of piano music that continues with Piano Day on Saturday, Nov. 22. Presented by the SVSU Department of Music, Piano Day features masterclasses, lectures, and a recital led by Brown and SVSU piano faculty member Chia-Ying Chan. The event offers a rare opportunity for students, educators and music lovers to learn from world-class performers in a fun, immersive setting. Registration is required for Piano Day activities.

The Rhea Miller Concert Series continues to contribute to the Great Lakes Bay Region with outstanding performances from distinguished artists like this event, thanks to the generosity of Rhea E. Miller and the Miller Trust for Music Education.
