Saginaw Valley State University and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital have forged a partnership to strengthen the talent pool in Michigan.

Through this partnership, eligible employees of Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation can take advantage of a tuition scholarship when they enroll in undergraduate, graduate or certificate programs at SVSU. To further assist employees advancing their education, Mary Free Bed offers tuition reimbursement to qualifying employees.

“Building and strengthening the talent pool for Michigan employers is one of SVSU’s chief priorities,” said George Grant Jr, president of the university. “Through this partnership with Mary Free Bed, both organizations will help deliver a better experience to the communities we serve.”

“This program will provide our team members access to seek out higher education,” said Joe Piselli, program director of internal rehabilitation at Mary Free Bed at Covenant. “SVSU offers many high-quality programs that will allow for clinical expertise to be developed and obtained right her in our region.”

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation is an internationally accredited and nationally recognized leader in rehabilitation. The not-for-profit system employs over 2,300 staff at more than 60 locations in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Virginia.
Additional details about application procedures and tuition benefits will be shared with Mary Free Bed employees through internal communication channels.
