Master of Science in Health Administration (MHA) Degree Admission Requirements

 

Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. A completed graduate application is required and must include official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions, a current résumé highlighting education, work experience, scholarly accomplishments, and service, a one- to two-page statement outlining academic and career goals, and one letter of recommendation, preferably from a faculty member or employer.

International applicants must complete the International Student Application for Admission and submit all materials listed above. In addition, non-native English speakers must provide proof of English language proficiency, with acceptable scores including a minimum of 92 on the TOEFL iBT, 7.0 on the IELTS, or a passing score on an approved alternative exam. International applicants must also provide evidence of financial support and a copy of a valid passport.

This program is an excellent way for the practicing physician to pursue an administrative education. Having a cohort of peers makes it more fun and practical. It has also been exciting to apply knowledge learned to current hospital projects.
