Those who register after the first 32 will be put on a list of alternates. Participants pay no fee to attend the conference or to compete in the Integration Bee. The link to the Registration Page for the Integration Bee can be found on the front page of the conference website, and will become active Monday, February 23 at 9:00 a.m.

Rules of the Competition (subject to revision)

  • Each round will consist of head-to-head face-offs, with the winner moving on to the next
    round.
  • Competitors in each face-off will be chosen by random draw.
  • Each face-off will consist in writing a correct antiderivative. Work will be neither required nor
judged. Problems will increase in difficulty from one round to the next.
  • When a player thinks they have a correct answer, they must request that their answer be
judged. The first player to write an answer that is judged to be correct wins the face-off. If a
player’s answer is incorrect, they may continue working until the winner is declared.
  • Only the first round will be timed. If after 90 seconds neither player in a face-off has
presented a correct solution, the judges will determine the winner, who will then move to the
    second round.
  • There will be 5 rounds.  In addition, the two losers of the semi-final round will face off to determine third place.
