All Orientation Programs at Saginaw Valley State University are designed to promote academic success and individual growth. During orientation you will have the opportunity to meet other incoming students, take necessary placement tests (if needed), learn about campus resources and involement opportunities, and receive academic advising and assistance in course registration.
All freshmen have a three-phase orientation experience at SVSU. SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising, & Registration) is your first step!
SVSU's Transfer Orientation Program (TOP) is for all new transfer students enrolling with prior college credits.
Prior to the start of classes, all international students attend a three-day International Student Orientation.
