There are several different types of financial aid that will help pay for your education. Your financial aid package can include scholarships, grants, loans and works study. You can accept all or part of what is offered to you. Learn about the different types here.
Scholarships may be awarded based on academics, financial need or both. Scholarships do not have to be repaid
Grants can be awarded based on financial need or academics. Grants do not have to be repaid.
Work Study is a form of financial aid that offers on-campus employement to undergraduate students. Work Study is different from on-campus employment.
Loans help with any unmet educational costs. Loans do have to be paid back. If applying for loans, students should complete a FAFSA form to determine eligibility for a federal loan.
Aid is available from the State of Michigan. Often you must complete the FAFSA by March 1 or meet other pre-determined criteria.
