Dual Certificate in Nurse Educator/Nurse Administrator Courses / Curriculum

The Post-Graduate Nurse Educator/Nurse Administrator Dual Certificate is provided primarily with online courses designed for nurses who already have a graduate degree in nursing in another concentration, such as nurse practitioner or Clinical Nurse Leader. This certificate consists of 32 credits taken over about two years. A maximum of 12 credits of equivalent coursework may be transferred into SVSU to be awarded the Post-Graduate Nurse Educator/Nurse Administrator Dual Certificate.

• NURS 668 - Advanced Clinical Practice 3 cr
• NURS 652 - Teaching & Learning in Nursing Education 3 cr
• NURS 656 - Nursing Curriculum Design & Evaluation 3 cr
• NURS 658 - Foundations of Nursing Administration 3 cr

An additional 6 credits of electives approved by the Department of Nursing are required
