Kasey Moritz wins SRCI

Kasey Moritz, a psychology major from Saginaw, will receive $7,326.10 for his research on the effects of post-injury environments on depression and anxiety in rats following traumatic brain injury. Moritz’s study is designed to Kasey Moritzinvestigate the effect of an enriched environment on depression and anxiety on a rat model in order to interpret experimental findings and transfer them to humans. Moritz plans to present his findings through multiple conferences and potential publication.

Winning Student Research and Creativity Institute proposals were chosen through a competitive selection process.
