English Language Program
The Mission of the English Language Program is to provide quality intensive English instruction and academic preparation to non-native speakers of English who are seeking to enroll at institutions of higher education in the United States.
Full-time ELP Staff
Features of ELP Courses
The English Language Program offers full-time, intensive English language training for students who need to improve their English ability.
- Academic English preparation for study at SVSU or other U.S. colleges and universities
- Instruction in general use of English
- TOEFL Preparation and Institutional Exams three times a year
- Faculty members with Masters Degrees in ESL or related area
- Faculty members available after class to assist with individual needs
- Small classes (maximum class size is 15 students)
- Academic advisement
- Personal advisement
The ELP is a member of the American Association of Intensive English Programs (AAIEP)
