Accuplacer Remote Placement Testing for Non-SVSU Students

The Testing Center at SVSU offers remote testing for students who need to take Accuplacer Placement Exams for other institutions. To take a test with the Testing Center, students should contact their school of choice and have them create an Accuplacer voucher. The tester will then register for their exam with the Testing Center by visiting RegisterBlast and choosing Remote Placement Testing from the options listed. All proctoring fees will be collected by RegisterBlast.

Testers are required to present a physical photo ID (student ID, driver's license, passport, or state ID) on test day; electronic versions will not be accepted.  On the day of testing, students must also have their voucher with them. If the student does not have a voucher or if the voucher is expired, they should contact the original institution. This may mean the tester will have to reschedule their appointment, as the granting institution may have a waiting period before creating new vouchers. The Testing Center is not responsible for contacting the granting institution to have vouchers created or recreated.

The Testing Center will provide scrap paper and pencils. For the Math Placement Exam, a calculator is already built into the program and is the only calculator allowed for this test unless written permission is given by the original institution. Students who have testing accommodations should contact both their school of choice and the Testing Center directly to make any necessary arrangements, especially regarding timed WritePlacer exams.

For questions regarding scheduling, or if there are any changes that need to be made to the appointment, the student should contact the Testing Center at (989) 964-2820 or via email at testing@svsu.edu. Information regarding cancellations and refunds may be found on the Testing Center’s website under, “Rescheduling, Cancellation and Refund Policy.”
