What does a paraprofessional do?

Paraprofessionals are educational workers who support students in school under the supervision of a teacher.

Paraprofessional Nomination Qualifications

  1. Tenure: Must have served at the school for more than one year.
  2. Student Support and Engagement: Demonstrates exceptional dedication to supporting student academic and social-emotional growth through individualized assistance and active engagement in classroom activities.
  3. Collaboration with Teachers and Staff: Effectively collaborates with teachers and other staff members to implement lesson plans, classroom management strategies, and student interventions.
  4. Professionalism and Adaptability: Maintains a positive attitude, professionalism, and flexibility when handling diverse classroom needs, student behaviors, and unexpected challenges.
