LGBTQA+ Resources at SVSU

Saginaw Valley State University is committed to the principles of equality and equal opportunity for all students, staff, and faculty. The Student Life Center provides co-curricular educational programming to support the academic success and developmental process of the SVSU community, including those who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, and Asexual/Allies (LGBTQA+). Our goal is to expand upon the co-curricular opportunities to increase community awareness and knowledge about sexual orientation, gender identity/gender expression, and promote a campus that is inclusive of LGBTQA+ individuals by providing resources, programs and experiences.

The University community is invited to the ribbon cutting for the new LGBTQA+ Resource Center located in Gilbertson Hall 253!

The ribbon cutting will be held following the special appearance and showing of  Alden Peters' award-winning documentary, "Coming Out" in the Alan Ott Auditorium in Gilbertson Hall.

The event is on Wednesday, October 7 at 7pm.
