AT & T GLBR STEM Innovation and Entrepreneurship High School Camp

Free one-week summer camp for female and underrepresented population high school students. Entrepreneurship, technology and design innovations, and prototype development and testing.

Camp Infinity introduces girls to computer and internet technologies through hands-on activities. A one-week summer technology camp for girls entering grades 9th-12th in Fall 2021.

Chief Science Officers

Be the voice for your school. Bring STEM opportunities to your peers and change to your community! Go through a Leadership Training Institute that teaches about networking, leadership development, verbal and written communication, and team building. Then attend cabinet meetings throughout the year and implement an action plan for your school!

Dow Science and Sustainability Education Center – Summer Research Opportunity

Rising 10th – 12th grade students conduct research on the Saginaw Bay Watershed. Earn minimum wage (20-30 hours per week) and tuition for a 4-credit science class at SVSU.

Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow STEM Scholars Network Summer Camps

Two – one-week FREE summer camps incorporating hands-on, problem-based learning. Open to current 9th-12th grade students interested in pursuing college degrees.

Teaching Assistant for Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow STEM Opportunity Camp

This is a paid position for high school and college students strong in math and who are eager to share their passion with younger students.

Teen Science Café

Teen Science Café out-of-school programs are a free, fun way for teens to explore the big advances in science and technology affecting their lives. Teens and STEM experts engage in lively conversations and activities to explore a topic deeply.


WeCode at Saginaw Valley State University is a FREE one-day weekend boot camp for beginners who would like to explore basics of coding using Sphero Programming. Our main objective is to encourage everyone to try out programming and explore the possible opportunities in the field of Computer Science.

The WeCode will include...
•    Hands-on activities to understand the programming concepts
•    Learn the concept of loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis for all programming languages using Spheros. This opens their ability to build a website, an app, or a robot.
