We recently received results on the student satisfaction survey and in nearly every category, student satisfaction has increased since we began tracking in 2001 and compared to the last survey in 2009. More than 4,000 randomly selected students received the survey this November and two-thirds of them completed it. On many of the most important questions, their responses are overwhelmingly favorable.
This does not mean we can rest on our laurels, of course, but as we prepare to pause at year’s end, I hope these findings will cause you to take pride in your work and that of your colleagues, and to return with renewed commitment to serve our students well in 2014.
If you’d like to pick up a stocking stuffer or two and support our students at the same time, consider picking SVSU ornaments, T-shirts and other items available from Forever Red, our student organization working to increase student-alumni connections and generally boost school spirit. The proceeds from your purchase will go toward scholarships for our students. For more information, contact Bryan Crainer at email@example.com. More information available online.
As a reminder, we are closing campus offices at noon this Friday, Dec. 20 and we will be closed Monday, Dec. 23 as an extra vacation day. We will see you all back at work on Thursday, Jan. 2.
Cindy and I want to wish you all a wonderful holiday season. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and our best wishes for whatever way in which you celebrate and find meaning in the season. I know we’ll find 2014 to be another great year to be a Cardinal. Watch SVSU's holiday video card »
