Erik Trump, Ph.D.

‌ Jesse DonahueDr. Trump teaches such classes as Writing and Politics; Introduction to Political Science; The American Political System; Art and Politics; Native American Politics; and American Political Thought.

In addition to his teaching, Dr. Trump serves as Chair of the Department of Political Science, (pictured at far right with other political science faculty) and he oversees the department’s internship program and placements.

Dr. Trump has co-authored two books with Dr. Jesse Donahue, The Politics of Zoos: Exotic Animals and Their Protectors and Political Animals: Public Art in American Zoos and Aquariums.  He has also written articles which have been published in books and academic journals.  His current research interest is in film and politics.

Dr. Trump earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his Ph.D. at Boston University.
