Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Certificate Admission Requirements

SVSU's online PMHNP Certificate program offers a rolling application period, allowing students to apply throughout the year. Applicants can select to begin the program in either a Fall, Winter, or Spring semester. In the application, you will need to identify your previous institutions attended. You will also need to contact those institutions and request official copies of your transcripts to be sent to Saginaw Valley State University. 

SVSU alumni do not need to request official transcripts as they will already be part of your student record.

Although there is no formal application deadline, we do encourage students to submit their application as early as possible to provide time for their requested transcripts from other institutions to reach us at SVSU.

To complete the application, you will need the following:

1. Submitted online application
2. An MSN or DNP from an accredited college or university
3. National certification as an APRN
4. Current Michigan RN and APRN license
5. Resume
