Certain University departments on occasion conduct business on campus where it is appropriate to purchase meals for staff, students or guests at University Dining locations.

Upon the approval of a division's executive officer, a department may purchase from Campus Dining Services a declining balance card which is used as a debit card for meal purchases. The price of a card in effect as of October 1, 1994 is $100 for which $110 is credited to the card balance. Additional amounts in increments of $100 may be purchased. Unexpended card balances at fiscal year end carry forward to the next year.

The division officer and department director will be responsible for the proper usage of the card. Meals debited to the card must be for business-related activity in compliance with University travel and entertainment policies. The department will be required to maintain documentation for meal purchases. Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to Campus Dining Services.
