VA NURSING ACADEMIC PARTNERSHIP

Saginaw Valley State University's Department of Nursing and the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw has an ongoing academic partnership. SVS Nursing joins hospitals and universities across the United States with the goal of improving healthcare for veterans.

Through this relationship, the partners are working jointly to:

1. Provide clinical experience for nursing students in the VA Medical Center
2. Expand faculty and professional development
3. Provide opportunities for educational and practice innovations
4. Provide simulated experiences for nurses throughout the program
5. Collaborate with VA clinical experts to develop curriculum

From our VANAP partnership, we have developed several other Veteran-focused interests.
