The Melvin J. Zahnow Library provides information resources and services to support the teaching and research needs of the students, faculty and staff of Saginaw Valley State University (see Mission and Goals). Spread over four floors with entrances on the first and second floors, its collections cover a vast array of topics and a multitude of formats. Librarians work collaboratively with faculty to add new materials, a process referred to as collection development. See the Collections page for a thorough description.
Many of the materials housed in the Library may be checked out through the first-floor Circulation Desk or the second-floor Information Desk. Finding specific items is done through our Classic/CardCat or Ebsco Discovery Service online catalogs. For more information about the library see (Library History)
