A One-page Statement of Accomplishments and Academic goals
Applicants will provide a one-page statement of accomplishments and academic goals to be reviewed during the admission review process. This document may be used to facilitate advising from the program coordinator.
Please upload a copy of your current resume.
In the application, you will need to identify your previous institutions attended. You will also need to contact those institutions and request official copies of your transcripts to be sent to Saginaw Valley State University.
All transcripts must be sent from university to university. For expedited processing, please select e-delivery and when possible send them to our Grad Admissions office: firstname.lastname@example.org
SVSU alumni do not need to request official transcripts as they will already be part of your student record.
Applicants must have successfully completed no less than three credits in an undergraduate statistics or research methods class to be eligible to begin MPA coursework. Applicants concerned about this requirement are encouraged to reach out to the MPA program coordinator for advising.
SVSU's MPA offers a rolling application period.
Within the application, students can select to begin the MPA in Fall, Winter or Spring semesters.
If you are new to SVSU or haven't applied since 2018, please complete the option to create your account.
If you have recently applied to SVSU (since August 2018), please log in as an existing user. If you don't remember your login credentials, select Forgot Username/Password to continue. Please note that your application credentials are not tied to the SVSU system and would remain the unique username/password used in your previous application.
Application forms and all application requirements must be submitted in order for the application to be reviewed for admission.
If you have any questions about the application process, please contact the Graduate Admissions at (989) 964.6096 or email email@example.com.
SVSU's MPA offers a rolling application period, allowing students to apply throughout the year.
Applicants can select to begin the program in either a Fall, Winter or Spring semester.
Although there is no formal application deadline, we do encourage students to submit their online application as early as possible to provide time for their requested transcripts from other institutions to reach us at SVSU. Applying early also provides more time for course registration and often additional time before a semester tuition balance is due.
Admission notifications will be provided to applicants via email. SVSU will send these notifications to the applicant's email address used to submit the application.
