During this activity students build a space lander which will house two alien passengers. The goal of the activity is to successfully land on three different locations in outer space while keeping the passengers safe. Students will explore concepts of measurement, conversions, percentages and fractions as they are guided through the engineering design process.
During this activity students create a representation of pollution in the Great Lakes. The goal of the activity is to stress the importance of keeping our Great Lakes clean. Students will attempt to remove pollutants such as oil, paper, salt, soil and rocks. Students will explore concepts of pollution, measurement and real-life scenarios of littering.
