Consumers Energy Talent Program

for High School Seniors

High school students will be selected to enroll during their senior year in Engineering Careers & Concepts (ECE 101), a 2 credit course on SVSU's campus. Once accepted, tuition and fees for the course are paid for through a grant from Consumers Energy. Students who successfully complete this course with grade of B or better and who choose to attend SVSU as a freshman will be awarded a second scholarship. This course can also be transferred to another college or university.

for SVSU Engineering Students

Senior electrical or mechanical engineering students may apply to have their senior design (capstone) projects funded by Consumers Engergy. Capstone projects must be in the alternative energy area. Students need to propose the novel idea, plan the timeline, budget the supplies and conduct research/development activities accordingly for a two semester project.
