The Department of Mathematical Sciences together with the Math & Physics Resource Center are running these sections of Math 082 in an alternative format, which are self-paced and computer based. For more information, click here.
Students who are taking one of these sections should not open the book and materials for this section until after the first day of class. Once the package has been opened it cannot be returned to the bookstore for a refund.
In Winter 2016, the alternative format sections of Math 082 are sections 5 and 9.
Section 5 meets Tuesday/Thursday 10:30AM - 12:20PM
Section 9 meets Tuesday/Thursday 2:30 - 4:20PM
There is also an open lab before, after and between the classes. You should include lab time whenever possible.
All sections meet in Science East 104.
Extra Tutoring Support: Students taking the alternative format Math 081 and Math 082 sections are welcome and encouraged to use the SE 104 lab during any of the open lab hours where tutor support is available, even if it is not the day your class is meeting. For Winter 2016 these hours are:
SE 104 Open Lab times
11:30AM - 12:30PM
1:30 - 3:30PM
10:00 - 10:30AM
12:30 - 2:30PM
4:30 - 6:30PM*
*During this time the lab will remain open up to the posted hour as long as it is in use. If no students are using the lab, the lab will close early. When the lab is closed, students can get help in the Math & Physics Resource Center in the CAA at any time the center is open. (For Math & Physics Resource Center hours, go back to our Home page.)
