Center for Worksite Health

Who We Are

The Center for Worksite Health was established in 2013 as part of the Kinesiology Department at Saginaw Valley State University in collaboration with the Pulse 3 Foundation. The Center for Worksite Health is committed to promoting health and well being to employees of various businesses and companies throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. The aim is to accomplish this through the utilization of the intellectual capacity of SVSU, its students, faculty and staff. Specifically, the Center will provide the platform to positively impact employee health and wellness for many businesses by leveraging the resources and expertise at the University.

 Our Focus

1) Increase awareness, knowledge and understanding of health and wellness while advancing commitment to build a culture of health among the businesses in the Great Lakes Bay Region through education, motivation, and empowerment.

2) Extend the educational classroom by providing service-learning opportunities for SVSU students through the collaboration with local businesses.

3) Engage in Community Based Participatory Research in which all partners contribute expertise, share decision-making and have ownership with respect to wellness program design and implementation.
