Political Leadership Academies
The Henry Marsh Institute for Public Policy administers a one-day political leadership program for residents of Bay, Midland, and Saginaw Counties. Dates for 2023 have not been announced yet, but stay tuned to our Facebook for more information.
The political leadership academies are open to all individuals within the hosting county that are interested in getting more involved in the political process. The program reviews elected and appointed positions within the hosting city and county, running for office and developing a campaign strategy, campaign communications, fundraising, canvassing, and other strategies.

The Henry Marsh Institute for Public Policy is administered by the Office of Governmental and Community Affairs at Saginaw Valley State University with guidance from two advisory boards. Funding to support the Henry Marsh Institute for Public Policy is provided by the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation, Michigan associations, corporations, labor organizations, Henry Marsh Institute alumni, and individuals.
