Political Leadership Academies

Members of the Henry Marsh Institute for Public Policy advisory board and 2019 Midland Political Leadership class

The Henry Marsh Institute for Public Policy administers one day political leadership programs for residents of Bay, Midland, and Saginaw Counties. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 and 2021 programs were canceled.

The political leadership academies are open to all individuals within the hosting county that are interested in getting more involved in the political process. The program reviews elected and appointed positions within the hosting city and county, running for office and developing a campaign strategy, campaign communications, fundraising, canvassing, and other strategies.

We look forward to announcing our 2022 political leadership academies in the near future. If you have questions or would like to be notified when registrations are open, please contact program director Stephen Prince at srprince@svsu.edu.
