Nikkole Huss is a visual artist working in Orland Park who incorporates the use of drawing, painting, fiber, sculpture and photography into her work. Her interdisciplinary approach stems from the notion that formal and conceptual correlations between media often communicate unexpected results. Organic materials such as wax, wool, natural fibers and inks appear, in combination to be fragile and vulnerable, yet exemplify a duality of inner strength linked to themes of adaptability, resiliency, growth and survival.
