The University Art Gallery at Saginaw Valley State University is hosting Digital Space, a juried digital fine arts competition open to any artist working in a digital medium within the state of Michigan. The exhibition will be held on February 19 - March 9, with the reception on March 1st, 4 - 6 pm.
This year's juror is Christopher Schneider, a professional artist and photography adjunct at Lawrence Technological University and Oakland Community College. He obtained his MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, and is also the founder and gallery coordinator for Hatch: A Hamtramck Art Collective. Schneider has exhibited internationally, and recently won a $5,000 ArtPrize Pitch Night grant for Anonymous, an interactive sculpture created with fellow artist Nina Caruso.
