About

The Saginaw Valley State University's Athletic Training program is a comprehensive and intense curriculum with specific requirements and expectations for students enrolling in the course. This program at Saginaw Valley State University is committed to creating opportunities for athletic training students to achieve intellectually, professionally and personally through their academic, professional, clinical and cultural experiences.  Through didactic and clinical experience, ATS will demonstrate proficiency in the educational competencies and clinical proficiencies developed by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and will thus be prepared to lend their leadership and expertise to the advancement of the athletic training profession.

  • There are multiple art-specific scholarships available for students.

  • Students have opportunities to study abroad in locations such as Italy and China. 

  • Visiting artist lecture and exhibition series for students to engage with acclaimed artists and their work.

  • Internships, fieldwork and co-ops are available for students to gain real-world experience.

SVSU's Fine Arts (B.F.A.) program is designed for students who wish to be fully prepared professionals in the visual arts. The degree also prepares students who wish to continue into a graduate program. Students are required to declare one area of concentration from the following: ceramics, drawing and painting, graphic design, photography, printmaking or sculpture.
