Dr. Trepanier is an Associate Professor of Political Science with tenure at Saginaw Valley State University and
an Academic Fellow of the Russell Kirk Center. He teaches courses in political philosophy as well as the
Introduction to Political Science and World Politics courses. He received his B.A. in Political Science and
English Literature with a Minor in Russian Studies at Marquette University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in the
Political Science at Louisiana State University. His publications include Political Symbols in Russian History:
Church, State, and the Quest for Order and Justice and Utah, Pluralism, and Democracy. Dr. Trepanier's
research is in Russian politics, Asian politics, politics and literature, politics and religion, and political philosophy
with a focus on classical, postmodern, and the works of Eric Voegelin.
