COURSE DESCRIPTION: Spanish 111 teaches skills in the comprehension, speaking, reading and writing of modern Spanish.

This class is the first semester of SPANISH LANGUAGE.

This class DOES NOT PRESUPPOSE ANY KNOWLEDGE OF SPANISH.

The credits from this class DO NOT COUNT in the computation of a major/minor in Spanish. Credits from this class count toward General Education.
 
ATTENDANCE:
Since you have selected and paid for this class, I have the right to assume that you will attend all classes and language lab sessions. In the case that I have assumed incorrectly, your grade will be lowered 10% for every class missed without advance notification of the absence.

A 90-100  B 80-89  C 70-79  D 60-69  F 59 and below

* In-class quizzes cannot be made up.

JOURNALS will be collected three times during the semester. You will record your Spanish language listening/ viewing and observations of or experiences with Hispanic culture.
