Campus Resident Permit

**2013/2014 permits available now**

A FREE GIFT from Parking Services to the first 250 residents who apply for a permit!

All SVSU resident students are eligible to register one vehicle for parking in resident lots on campus for the 2013-2014 academic year at no charge.  You may apply for a parking permit online or at Housing check in.  Log in with your SVSU user name and password.

NOTE:  As part of the application, residents will be required to digitally attach a valid copy of their driver’s license and vehicle registration.  The vehicle must be registered to the resident or immediate family.

IMPORTANT: See detailed information below about procedures for different living facilities.

Once online application and Housing check-in is complete, permit will be available for pick-up at University Police located at Pierce Road and South Entrance Drive. Early check-in Housing athletes will be able to pick up their permit once on line application is complete.

Resident lots only will NOT be ticketed until September 6.

A limit of one permanent permit will be issued to any one resident. A permit will not be issued to an individual who has past due parking ticket(s) forwarded to the 70th District Court of Saginaw County until they are paid.

First Year Suites, Living Center North and Living Center Southwest Residents

No charge for permit

  • Permit will expire May 15 each year
  • Permit restricted to Lot J-2 (west end behind barrier), Lot J-3, Lot J-4 (south side), and Lot G-3
  • Permit shall be permanently affixed on the exterior top left corner of a vehicle’s outside rear window
  • Permit may not be transferred to another person or vehicle
  • In the event vehicles are permanently changed, a new permit will be issued upon presentation of the old permit (even if in 100 pieces) to the University Police Department/Parking Services to avoid $50.00 replacement fee
  • Lost or stolen permit fee $50.00

University Village and Living Center South Residents

No charge for permit

  • Permit will expire May 15 each year
  • Permit restricted to Village East and Village West lots
  • Permit shall be permanently affixed on the exterior top left corner of a vehicle’s outside rear window
  • Permit may not be transferred to another person or vehicle
  • In the event vehicles are permanently changed, a new permit will be issued upon presentation of the old permit (even if in 100 pieces) to the University Police Department/Parking Services to avoid $50.00 replacement fee
  • Lost or stolen permit fee $50.00

Pine Grove Residents

No charge for permit

  • Permit will expire May 15 each year
  • Permit restricted to Pine Grove Apartment lot only
  • Permit shall be permanently affixed on the exterior top left corner of a vehicle’s outside rear window
  • Permit may not be transferred to another person or vehicle
  • In the event vehicles are permanently changed, a new permit will be issued upon presentation of the old permit (even if in 100 pieces) to the University Police Department/Parking Services to avoid $50.00 replacement fee
  • Lost or stolen permit fee $50.00
