SVSU’s tagline is “Something More. Something Better.” Our branding message that is captured in the tagline suggests you may become something more and better as an outcome of your SVSU experience.
The preferred placement on communications materials is above or to the left of the SVSU logo. (This is not to say it cannot be placed below the SVSU logo; only that may imply that “SVSU is something more, something better.”) For the university’s primary advertising, the recommended placement is above or to the left of the SVSU logo. Our primary intent is that you can become something more and better; secondly, this place (SVSU) offers something more and better.
The use of a tagline is usually related to direct advertising (on print ads, on billboards, at the close of a TV commercial). It may but is not required to appear on primary, external publications. There, the branding messages that are crafted throughout the copy are what deliver the promise of “Something More. Something Better.” If you are not sure about the appropriateness of its use, please contact University Communications at ext. 4056.
