This registered logo is the standard, visually identifying symbol identifies us as “Saginaw Valley State University.” Visually, it establishes and reinforces the marketing initiative to create a connection between all publications, advertising promotions, and recruitment initiatives created for SVSU with our audiences.
Two Color Logo
The logo may be featured in red and black, or in red and blue. The box must always appear as red when the logo features two colors.
Note: Depending on your software application and choice for output (e.g., color laser printer, offset printing, etc.), colors may vary. For further assistance and advice on choosing color combinations, contact University Communications at ext. 7101 or ext. 4056.

One Color Logo
Although the two color version of the SVSU logo is preferred for use, the one color version may also be used as solid blue, red or black.

Reverse Logo
The logo may appear reversed out of a solid color background that provides high contrast for readability. The four letters within the box, SVSU, should always appear in white in any instance.
No textures or photos should ever appear behind the SVSU logo because they would distract from its original form or distort its appearance. The logo may only be reversed from a solid color.
These logos can be obtained by contacting University Communications at ext. 4056.
It is recommended that the SVSU logo appear on the front page and in the top left corner of any external printed material for advertising, recruitment, donor and alumni relations. Otherwise, the logo may appear on the bottom of internal entertainment programs, low priority flyers and internal posters.
The logo should not be seen smaller than 1.75 inches in width on any printed publication or Web page. At any size smaller than this, the readability of the logo is sacrificed. When the logo is at its smallest size, .125 inches of negative space should surround the entire logo on all four sides. No other graphic elements should appear within the space surrounding the logo. The logo should have a .25 inch space reserved around all sides from other graphic elements.
Logos are available by contacting University Communications at tmi@svsu.edu or call (989) 964-4086.
