Jill Allardyce
Jill Allardyce has been with SVSU since October 2003. While at SVSU she has designed and helped to develop countless printed materials and aided in the development of the new SVSU Cardinal logo, graphic standards and branding initiative.
Jill graduated from Ferris State in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in visual communication. While at Ferris, she won two Citations of Excellece from the Grand Rapids American Advertising Awards, along with a Certificate of Excellence from her dean in the College of Business.
Following graduation, Jill joined Zondervan Publishing House in Grand Rapids where she managed the design of tri-yearly catalogs and various other book covers. She then worked for BrandMind, Inc., in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Returning to Michigan, Jill joined Bolger + Battle in Midland as a graphic designer, creating logos, invitations, publications and Web sites.
Jill earned a Master of Arts degree in communication and multimedia at SVSU in May 2006. Since then, she has taught two semesters of ART 260, Introduction to Computer Graphic Design, as an adjunct art faculty in the SVSU Art department. In her spare time, Jill enjoys landscaping her yard, making art and is also participates in different athletic teams such as the SVSU golf league, and two softball teams in Saginaw and Midland.

Adam Baudoux
Adam Baudoux has been with SVSU since 2007. While an undergrad, Adam worked as a photography intern in University Communications and was photo editor of The Valley Vanguard. A self-taught photographer, he received his start in action sports photography. Adam has photographed professional sporting events including the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Supercross, and Championship Off Road Racing. He has received several awards including an honorable mention in "National Geographic" for "Landscape Photography of the Year" in 2007; honorable mention in "College Photography of the Year" in 2007; best new photograph by the "Michigan Press Association" in 2007; third in feature photograph by the "Michigan Press Association" in 2007; and first place in "Cardinal Sins" 2007, 2008, and 2009. In 2008 he completed a B.A. in graphic design, with an art minor.

J.J. Boehm
J.J. Boehm joined SVSU as director of media relations in 2003. Prior to that, he spent seven years at WSGW radio in Saginaw, including more than two years as the station’s assistant news director. During his time there, J.J. earned more than 20 first place awards for broadcast journalism from the Michigan Associated Press, including honors for excellence in individual reporting, enterprise/investigative reporting, news documentary, and use of natural sound.
J.J. returns to the airwaves every Saturday in the fall as the “voice of the Cardinals.” He has called SVSU football games (on WSGW) since 2000 and is a three-time recipient of the Michigan A.P.’s “best live sports” award.
In addition to his duties at SVSU, J.J. serves on the communications committees of the Bridge Center for Racial Harmony and the United Way of Bay County. He is also a member of the White Pine chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
J.J. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Valparaiso University and a Master of Arts degree in administrative science from SVSU.

Tim Inman
Tim Inman is the senior member of the University Communications staff, having joined SVSU in September 1984. During his 25 years with SVSU, Tim has experienced a number of changes in job titles, responsibilities and office locations – including a name change for the institution.
As the director of creative services, Tim has a multidimensional role in the Office of University Communications. He plays a leadership and strategic role in planning and managing departmental processes. Tim supervises two assistant directors, a part-time university photographer, and an administrative assistant.
In addition to his staff position, Tim is an adjunct member of the SVSU English Department, and teaches English 300. He serves as treasurer for the Great Lakes Bay Region Chapter of the American Advertising Federation, and holds memberships in professional organizations including Nikon Professional Services and the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. A Saginaw native, Tim earned his Bachelor of Arts in art and Master of Education degrees at SVSU.

Jan Poppe
Jan Poppe joined SVSU in May 2004. She moved to Michigan in 1993 when she joined the Saginaw County Convention & Visitors Bureau as vice president of sales and marketing. In 2001, she left the Bureau to start her own freelance marketing and consulting business. Originally from Cincinnati, Jan worked in the hospitality industry in Cincinnati and Kentucky. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Edgecliff College/Xavier University and her Master of Arts degree in organizational leadership and administration from SVSU.
Jan serves on boards and committees of several organizations, including the Saginaw Choral Society, Mid Michigan Children's Museum, Saginaw Rotary Club, and Midland County Community Corrections.

Carlos Ramet
Carlos Ramet joined SVSU in 1991 as an assistant professor of English and was promoted to full professor in 2000. In the English Department, he served as chair of the largest academic department on campus and became a full-time administrator in the Office of the President in 2002. As executive assistant to the president/executive director of public affairs, Carlos is currently responsible for supervising all University Communications activities, as well as planning the fall focus lecture series, organizing Board of Fellows activities, and managing special projects such as the Triennial Theodore Roethke Memorial Prize and related festivities. He co-chairs the public affairs council and plays a coordinating role for the Center for Business & Economic Development, Continuing Education, School & University Partnerships, and the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
Carlos received his bachelor’s degree in film production and English literature from the University of Southern California, earned a Master of Arts in English/Creative Writing from San Francisco State University, and later completed his Ph.D. in English/Creative Writing at the University of Illinois-Chicago. In addition to working in various capacities in the film industry early in his career, he is the author of more than 15 published short stories and 21 scholarly articles and reviews. In 1999, Carlos published a book titled Ken Follett: The Transformation of a Writer, which was the first full-length study of the British author published by a university press.
Within University Communications, Carlos writes, edits, and provides managerial oversight and support. He is a member of the Society for College and University Planning, Rotary International, and the Saginaw Arts and Enrichment Commission. He is a long-time member of SVSU’s golf league and enjoys music, theater, and art.

Craig Snook
Craig Snook has been assisting SVSU departments since 1986. As an SVSU student majoring in art and design, Craig worked as a student employee in the SVSU Graphics Center where he learned post-printing skills that would help him later in his career. Also while a student, Craig worked part time at the advertising agency Bradford-LaRiviere when it was located in downtown Saginaw. There, he was responsible for the slide processing division and mounting prints.
After a short stint on the inaugural team at the Meijer One-Hour Photo lab in Shields, Michigan, Craig was hired in 1986 as a full-time graphic designer at SVSU. He has helped in the development of marketing and recruiting collateral for nearly two decades, and most recently worked on the team to create the award-winning publication “This is SVSU.”
In 2000, Craig received his Master of Arts degree in communication and multimedia from SVSU. He also has taught numerous design and typography classes to SVSU undergrad design students. In 2003, Craig was assigned the responsibility of overseeing the SVSU licensing program, working with off-campus vendors, Barnes and Noble Bookstore, and SVSU’s purchasing department. This duty requires the monitoring of SVSU's licensed vendors; working with agreements, contracts and royalties; and approving the designs that appear on imprinted items. Craig is a member of the University and College Designers Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, volunteering at his church, and collecting antique wooden type.
