Take Sustainable Action

What Can You Do?

There are many things you can do to help at home that do not require life-changing commitments. Read below to find out how you can take action.

  • Recycle everyday objects - 75% of what is thrown away is actually recyclable, however only 30% is recycled1. Each student could save 200 trees per year if they recycled all of their wasted paper and cardboard 2. Even newspapers have an impact. Every ton of newspaper recycled saves enough energy to power a TV for 31 hours 3.
  • Start a small garden. Smaller farms can grow more diverse crops leading to healthier soil for you.
