Christopher Goodley is a first year student at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) majoring in Business Management. Christopher attended high school at Cesar Chavez Academy (CCA) in Southwest Detroit. Christopher chose SVSU because he enjoys the family atmosphere and staff/faculty involvement on campus.
Although Christopher is a freshman and hasn't fully experienced life as of yet, he is ready for the experience. In five years, he plans to have his degree in business management, working for a company as a human resource manager. Besides himself and his family helping him achieve his goal, he expects the PSA Scholar Program to help as well. Christopher stated "I expect the Public School Academy (PSA) to keep me on track with my academics and I genuinely believe that the awesome coaches will do just that."
Going through Transition Camp for the PSA program has taught Christopher a lot. It taught him about time management, studying and most importantly procrastination. Knowing what he knows now about college, Christopher would tell “high school Christopher” to not procrastinate and that being a procrastinator can make you, but will most likely break you.
