My Greatest Gift to Teachers - March 16, 2020

Wouldn’t it be great if we could swap teaching strategies as easily as we swap books? Wouldn’t it be great to walk away with several, classroom tested strategies? Wouldn’t it be great to have a network of educators that you could contact, with questions? Wouldn’t you love to share an idea that works with your students, with other educators? Here is that opportunity. Bring one classroom tested, student centered, totally fantastic teaching strategy or tip to share, and leave with many new ideas to try in your classroom. Come share and swap teaching “gifts”.

Feedback Image

Effective Feedback - May 1, 2020

Effective feedback can be a powerful force for student learning. It says to the student that you cared enough about their work to spend the time to craft useful feedback. How do you give effective feedback? What content or assessment is best suited for feedback? What will students do with the feedback? Why use feedback instead of just putting a grade?

Answers to these and other questions will be addressed in this session on feedback. Come, learn new strategies and think deeply about the role of effective feedback in your classroom.
