Financial Aid
- Financial aid packages can be applied to study abroad.
- Financial aid packages may increase to support the additional expenses of study abroad. In order to apply for a Financial Aid increase, students must fill out the FAFSA and a Budget/Enrollment Status Change form (pdf).
FAFSA and Budget Enrollment Status Change forms can also be obtained from SVSU’s Financial Aid Office in Wickes 141.

These prestigious national and international scholarships are highly competitive, with a minimum 3.5 GPA typical. For most of these scholarships, students should begin the application in the junior year in order to meet the fall application deadline in their senior year.
- Rotary International Scholarships. Funds three different scholarship opportunities---for one year of study in another country, for two years of degree-oriented study in another country, or for three to six months of intensive language and cultural immersion. www.rotary.org/foundation/educational
- Rhodes Scholarship. Funds two or three years of study at Oxford University in England. www.rhodesscholar.org/menu.html
- Marshall Scholarship. Funds one year of post-bachelor research or study in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. www.us-irelandalliance.org/scholarships.html
- Truman Scholarships. Awards $30,000 ($3,000 for the senior year and $27,000 for graduate study) for students committed to public service. www.truman.gov/
