National Society of Leadership and Success
Student Life will be continuing their membership in the leadership honor society, The National Society of Leadership and Success. SVSU's chapter is Sigma Alpha Pi, and is open by invitation only to selected students. Students who have demonstrated academic accomplishment and leadership potential and meet set criteria will be issued a nomination letter at the beginning of the Fall semester. The Society offers life-changing lectures from the nation's leading presenters along with a community where likeminded, success-oriented individuals come together to help one another succeed. The Society also serves as a powerful force of good in the greater community by encouraging and organizing action to better the world.
Students receive a wide range of lifetime benefits upon being inducted into the Society. Benefits include scholarship and award opportunities, resume enhancement, access to previous speaker broadcasts, discounts from corporate partners, and a personalized letter of recommendation.
Members pay a one-time registration fee of $85 which includes a lifetime membership upon being inducted. Inductions will tentatively be held in December and April each academic year.
Dates for orientation sessions will be sent via email to registered members. If you have any questions, please contact Katrina at klphill1@svsu.edu.

The executive board hosted a luncheon for the students who qualified for the National Excellence in Leadership award in April 2012.
