Purpose
The purpose of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority shall be one of promoting standards of excellence in morality, ethics, and education. Further, we work to better serves the needs and wants of the people by disseminating about the diverse cultures we all share. Finally, the sorority shall maintain respect for the views of others through this valuing, thus by, enhancing our understanding of one another and thus bettering our community, our country, and the world.

- Minimum requirement of a semester 2.5/4.0 grade point average
- Sincere desire to contribute to the fulfilling of tasks and responsiblities of the sorority
- Interest in activities that will aide in enhancing the academic atmosphere at their respective college/university or community
