Join the Movement!

Alternative Breaks is an opportunity for students to volunteer domestically, as well as internationally in an alcohol and drug free environment, while studying and experiencing social issues facing society today. This year Alternative Breaks will offer Winter, Spring, and Weekend trips. Applications for Winter and Spring trips will be available in the Student Life Center once classes begin.

Mission Statement

The Alternative Breaks program at Saginaw Valley State University is a student-run organization that strives to create socially conscious citizens through a program that educates participants on social issues, provides opportunities for strong direct service, and encourages community involvement nationally and internationally.
