GAMMA

What is GAMMA?

Peer Health Education has teamed up with the Greek Community here at SVSU to form a GAMMA Chapter. GAMMA stands for Greeks Advocating the Mature Management of Alcohol. We aim to have representation from each sorority and fraternity on-campus. GAMMA is responsible for educating Greeks on-campus about alcohol, responsible drinking, and hosting two events an academic year.

Are GAMMA members in PHE?

GAMMA is a subcategory of the Peer Health Education team but are not full members. GAMMA members are selected and trained in similar principles and education as Peer Health Educators but do not go through the full training.

Who can join GAMMA?

We do require GAMMA members to be a member in good standing of a fraternity or sorority at SVSU.

How do I join GAMMA?

GAMMA has an application and interview process in order to become a member. If you are interested in being a member of GAMMA, you will need to pick up an application in the Peer Health Education office in C121 during our office hours or download an GAMMA Member Application (17kB). Please read all the requirements and follow all the instructions to be eligable. Once you are finished, you turn the application in and we will contact you for an interview.
