Tammi Waugh
Coordinator, Student Technology Center

I have been employed by SVSU since March 1997. During that time I have had the opportunity to perform various jobs. I have worked as the Library Computer Technician, STC Training Specialist, Adjunct Faculty Member and presently the STC Coordinator.

I love to work with students; I find it very gratifying to know I have helped someone enhance their technology skills.

I earned my M.A. from SVSU, August 2000 in Communication and Multimedia. I am also a graduate of Ferris State University where I earned a B.S. in Computer Information Technology.

I am Mom to two SVSU students, Betsie and Trent, three golden retrievers Charlevoix (a.k.a. Charlie), Tiger & Josie and two cats Sadie & Gracie.

A few of my hobbies include watching my son Trent play tournament golf and hockey, home decorating, collecting antiques and watching professional hockey and golf.

My philosophy on life is: Everything happens for a reason. Dealing with the curve balls life throws at us makes us who we are. You can’t appreciate the good times without experiencing some bad times.

Trent Milligan
Student Technology Skills Specialist

Hello, my name is Trent. I earned my B.A. from SVSU with a major in History and minor in Management. Even though I didn’t earn my degree with computers I have been using them as long as I can remember.

Some of my interests are history, computer and camping among other things.

I enjoy helping others with questions about computer software. It not only helps you learn but many times I find out something about a piece of software that I hadn’t thought about. Stop in anytime… well when we are open.

Laura Collins
Tutor

Hi! My name is Laura Collins. I am from Mason, MI, which is a small town just south of Lansing. I graduated in 2004 from Mason High School.

This is my third year here at SVSU. I am majoring in secondary special education with minors in English and psychology. I hope to graduate in 2008.

Some of my hobbies are: scrapbooking, playing tennis, watching football and hockey, and hanging out with friends.

I am a very patient person and I'm always willing to help. Even though I'm still learning a lot of the software we offer at the STC, I'll help as much as I can. Right now, I am most comfortable with the Microsoft Office software, like Word and PowerPoint.

I'm really excited to learn and to help other students learn new technology skills. I hope everybody will take advantage of the services we offer at the STC!

I am Jeff.  Many long years have I toiled at SVSU, currently I am a senior yet I will likely be here another year before I reach the end.  History is my major field of study with sociology tagging along as my preferred minor.

During my free moments I enjoy a wholesome game of pin-pong and sometimes even a friendly game of racquet ball.

I greatly enjoy assisting others with their technological needs and am always happy to give my gift of knowledge to all who seek it.

I am in my final year at SVSU. My major is graphic design with a minor in communication . If everything works out I will graduate in May 2008!
Some of my hobbies are: graphic design, watching sports, playing basketball and softball, video games and spending time with my family and friends. I am also currently interning with the Saginaw Spirit...the most fun I have ever had working!

I consider myself a patient person and I'm always willing to lend a helping hand. I am still learning some of the software we offer at the STC, but I will try and help as much as I can or point you in the right direction for help. Being a graphics major, I have a good knowledge of the Adobe software along with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, like Word and PowerPoint.
I'm really excited to learn and to help other students learn new technology skills. I hope everybody will take advantage of the services we offer at the STC! Hope to see you soon!
