Vice President Search
Vice President for student services and enrollment management, Robert Maurovich announced in October his intention to retire in August 2010.
Open forums have been set with candidates for the position of vice president for student services and enrollment management. The next will occur, Thursday, January 21 at at 1 p.m. in Curtiss Hall's Emeriti Room with Jim Dwyer. The first occured, Monday, Jan. 11 with Thomas Crady.
Jim Dwyer
Dwyer has nearly 30 years of work experience at SVSU; he has served as assistant vice president for student services and enrollment management since 2003. Most recently, he has been the interim director of international programs. Prior to that, he worked as the director of admissions for 22 years.
Dwyer completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees at SVSU.
Thomas Crady
Crady has more than 25 years of higher education experience, including nearly two decades at Grinnell College in Iowa, where he served nine years as vice president for student services, overseeing admissions, financial aid and student affairs. Most recently, Crady had been dean of the college at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, a post he held for nearly two years.
Crady completed a Ph.D. at Iowa State University, where he will be teaching graduate courses in early 2010. He also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northern Michigan University.
